  "SB 187 compliance" refers to different California laws depending on the year the bill was passed. The most common SB 187, from 1998, requires California schools to develop and maintain a comprehensive school safety plan. Other recent versions of SB 187 relate to consumer debt protection, tribal gaming compacts, foster youth rights, and certain human service provisions.
